| I photograph
all of my listings for my website using an aerial photography
platform that I call the “RealtyCam”. Here’s
how it works:
First, I travel to the site, survey it, find out where
I can place the blimp (it is 17’ feet long and about
8’ across). I also need to know the orientation of
the property, so that I determine if I need to be there
in the afternoon or the morning. Then, on the day of the
shoot, (hopefully blue skies with a few clouds, but NOT
too windy), I come out to the site with a 26’ Box
Van, with the RealtyCam in the rear, inflated & ready
to go. Onsite, I assemble the camera frame, remove the blimp
from the truck, and get ready for launch!
The blimp is attached to a tether, the short one is 300
feet long and the long is 1,000 feet long.
I attach the RealtyCam to the tether, and away we go! On
the ground, I have a control station. From it, I control
(wireless) pan, tilt, zoom & I trigger the camera to
take pictures. The camera is a Canon 40D, using 10.1 million
effective pixels, with a Canon 17-85 Image Stabilized Lense.
The Ground Station has a small video monitor, and I am viewing
what the lense is seeing up above. It is amazing what a
few hundred feet can do. Once the pictures are taken, I
edit them using Adobe Photoshop CS4 w/ Extension. The pictures
are all taken using RAW Imaging Format, for the highest
quality color resolution.
The results are sometimes…….stunning.
Have fun on my website, call if I can be of assistance.
I’m here to serve you.
